The Mount Si Wildcats are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots at 8:30 p.m. on December 27th. Hopefully Mount Si is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Academy of Our Lady of Peace in their respective states (Mount Si is ranked 110th in Washington, while Academy of Our Lady of Peace is ranked 317th in California).
Last Saturday, Mount Si came up short against Newport - Bellevue and fell 52-44.
Meanwhile, Academy of Our Lady of Peace waltzed into their game last Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 63-49 win over St. Joseph Academy. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, as Academy of Our Lady of Peace did.
It was another big night for Jillian Nowicki, who went 7 for 16 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points and 7 assists. The game was her ninth in a row with at least ten points. Audrey O'neal was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Mount Si's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Academy of Our Lady of Peace, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
