Alleman (Rock Island, Ill.) jumped out to an early lead against Manual (Peoria, Ill.) and never looked back on the way to a 41-0 victory on Saturday.
The Pioneers scored 15 points in the first quarter. Alleman scored on a
Matt Hubbell touchdown run and a touchdown run by
Kylee Dorsey.
After taking the lead on a Hubbell touchdown run in the first quarter, AHS led 34-0 at the half.
The Rock Island school expanded its lead to 41 points entering the fourth quarter. The Pioneers scored once in the quarter on a
Stephen Thomer touchdown run.
Alleman's standout player in the win was Thomer. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns.
AHS came into the game allowing 15.5 points per game.
The victory was a step in the right direction for the Rock Island school, which was coming off a 13-7 defeat at the hands of Rock Island in its previous game.
Alleman (5-2) will play a Midwest 10 game against Richwoods next week, while Manual (0-7) will take on Notre Dame also in a Midwest 10 game.
