The Temple Christian Eagles''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by First Baptist 40-7. Temple Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-0.
First Baptist had a senior duo take command as Hunter McCoy threw for 364 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt and Alijah Cason gained 144 total yards and three touchdowns. McCoy is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last seven games he's played. Dominic Saidu was another key contributor, picking up 159 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Temple Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for First Baptist, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Temple Christian will head out on the road to face off against St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. First Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
