On Friday, the Chiles Timberwolves's game was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They snuck past Munroe with a 31-25 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chiles.
Leading Chiles to victory were Faith Durden and Lainey Crisafulli. Durden scored 12 points along with nine rebounds, while Crisafulli scored six points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Durden has scored at least a third of Chiles' points.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Traniha Jackson, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Mya Mccullar was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Chiles' victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Munroe, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Chiles won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Maclay at 5:00 p.m. on January 13th. Maclay has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Munroe on the road again on Saturday and play against L.E.A.D. Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully L.E.A.D. Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Thursday.
