The Dublin Scioto Irish were the 44-19 winner over the Olentangy Orange Pioneers when they last played one another back in December of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Dublin Scioto fell 45-37 to Olentangy Orange on Tuesday. Dublin Scioto has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Dublin Scioto's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Niah Smedley, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds. Smedley scored a full 43.2% of Dublin Scioto's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Alec Rothe, who scored 6 points along with 20 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Dublin Scioto's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Olentangy Orange, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
