The Minatare Indians were the 52-39 winner over the Creek Valley Storm when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. Minatare received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 62-44 to Creek Valley. Minatare just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
It was another big night for Lane Brenneman, who scored 41 points along with nine rebounds and two steals for Creek Valley. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brenneman has scored all season. Mason Timm was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 12 rebounds and six blocks.
Minatare's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Creek Valley, their win bumped their record up to 2-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Minatare will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Bayard on January 25th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Bayard is ranked 251st, while Minatare is ranked 264th). As for Creek Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Garden County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
