It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Hartselle ultimately got the result it was hoping for on Friday. They came out on top against Briarwood Christian by a score of 14-7.
Hartselle struggled in the first half and ended with zero points. As for Briarwood Christian, they scored seven to put Hartselle at a 0-7 disadvantage heading into the break. In the second half, however, Hartselle's defense made a stand and allowed a meager 0 points. The win bumped their record up to 5-0. The defeat dropped Briarwood Christian's record to 4-1.
Next week Hartselle take on Columbia at 7:00 PM. Hartselle are cruising in on a five-game winning streak while Columbia are stumbling in off of five consecutive losses. Briarwood Christian will be staying on the road, facing off against John Carroll Catholic. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
