Larry Nichols Turns in Season-Best Effort
Bowie was led to victory by Larry Nichols, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Nichols rushed for 95 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 200 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.7% of his passes.
The win was the third in a row for Bowie, bringing their record for this year to 3-3. Nichols and Bowie will be playing at home against Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

This season, Roberson has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 137.3 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had three rushing touchdowns.

Darrion Bowers' Big Game Leads Bowie over Martin
Darrion Bowers posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 179 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 127 rushing yards dating back to last season.
If the past is any indication, Bowers could be in store for another big game when he takes on Arlington on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Bowers saw the Colts), he rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns.

The second Lamar player making an appearance here is Gannon Carey, and for good reason. He threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 76 yards.
Carey might have his next game, a home matchup with Sam Houston, circled on his calendar. Carey threw for 350 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Texans duked it out back in October of 2023.
