The Flowery Branch Falcons lost against the Eastside Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Flowery Branch lost to the Eagles on the road by a decisive 58-39 margin. Flowery Branch has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Eastside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jailyn Williams, who scored 21 points along with four steals. Morgan Sandema was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Flowery Branch now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Eastside, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9.
Flowery Branch will take on the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastside, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldoggs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Winder-Barrow will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 421st, while the Eagles are ranked 144th).
