The Pinedale Wranglers won the last time they faced the Evanston Devils, and things went their way on Friday too. Pinedale simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Evanston 55-13 on the road. With that win, Pinedale brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Elyn Bowers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 39 points and 1 assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Pinedale's points. Another player making a difference was Alyxis White, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Pinedale and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Evanston, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pinedale and Green River will face off at 4:20 a.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Green River is ranked 15th, while Pinedale is ranked 24th). Evanston will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rock Springs at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Rock Springs is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
