Wooster saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayla Reid, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Reid has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times she's played.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hillsdale). They blew past Rittman 20-3 on Wednesday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Macy Mager made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Mager was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Hillsdale got a big performance out of Kennedy Fickes, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs. Those four runs gave Fickes a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aurora Martin, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Hillsdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .771. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Wooster's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Hillsdale, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Wooster has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Hillsdale struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
