It was a good run, but Alcoa unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Watertown Purple Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Tornadoes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Purple Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Alcoa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cory Hatcher, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That hit was Hatcher's first of the season.

Alcoa's loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Coming up, Alcoa will venture away from home to square off against Sequoyah at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Chiefs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.75 runs per game on average), something the Tornadoes will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Watertown, they will face off against Forrest at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
