Stark County is 0-9 against Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] since April of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Stark County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Peoria with a sharp 20-3 win on Monday. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Brooklynn Ostrowski looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Stark County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.7 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.6.
Meanwhile, Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They never let the Red Storm get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.
Gabby Dean was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Dean was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Ella Humphrey was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Kenlee Carlson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Stark County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11-1.
