Schenevus Central has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Milford Central Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Schenevus Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Schenevus Central pushed their score all the way to 65 last Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Worcester 69-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on December 6th (56), Schenevus Central still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Milford Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Wednesday. They blew past Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton 77-46 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-13.
Carter Stevens and Christian Lawson were among the main playmakers for Milford Central as the former scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and eight steals and the latter scored 37 points along with three steals. The match was Lawson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Luke Edmonds, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds.
Schenevus Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Milford Central, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Schenevus Central was taken down by Milford Central 87-41 when the teams last played back in January. Can Schenevus Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
