Brian Freeman ran for two touchdowns and
Jason Byrd added three as well as
Faith Academy (Marble Falls, Texas) defeated Texas Christian Academy (Waco, Texas) 62-13 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a Freeman touchdown run in the first quarter, the Flames led 48-6 at the half.
Both teams scored seven points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at 42 entering the fourth.
With the win Faith Academy extended its winning streak to eight games. FA defeated the Rangers 33-12 last week.
Freeman was the top performer for the Marble Falls school. The senior caught one touchdown and kicked five extra points. He has now scored 17 touchdowns on the season.
The Flames went into the matchup giving up only 14.4 points per game.
Texas Christian Academy (1-7) will play a TAPPS Division III District 4 game against Holy Trinity Catholic next week, while Faith Academy (8-0) will take on Central Texas Christian also in a TAPPS Division III District 4 game.
