Albuquerque Academy has won eight straight games at home, while Hope Christian has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Albuquerque Academy Chargers will host the Hope Christian Huskies at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Albuquerque Academy beat Bernalillo 50-44. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won six in a row.

Albuquerque Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Addie Spratley out in front who went 6-for-9 to rack up 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Spratley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Lily Skarsgard was another key player, shooting 42% from the field en route to 15 points and five steals.
Meanwhile, Hope Christian strolled past Bernalillo with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 61-47.
Albuquerque Academy better focus on containing Bri Bishop and Mia Bishop as the pair were huge in Hope Christian's win. Bri dropped a triple-double with 26 points, 13 boards, and 12 steals, while Mia dropped a double-double with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Hope Christian is 12-4 when Mia posts eight or more boards, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Adalynn Day, who posted six points in addition to 11 rebounds and eight assists.
Hope Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They are 14-5 when they've passed the ball that well.
Hope Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points over those games. Albuquerque Academy's victory bumped their record up to 22-4.
Saturday's game will pit two of the most dominant forwards against one another: Spratley and Bishop. Spratley has been dynamite this season: she has averaged 16.4 points, 2.2 blocks, and 2.9 steals on 51.2% shooting. For her part, Bishop has averaged 15.8 points, 4.1 steals, and 9.1 boards.
Albuquerque Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Hope Christian in their previous matchup back in February, but they still walked away with a 38-33 win. Will Albuquerque Academy repeat their success, or does Hope Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
