Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mulvane). They enjoyed a cozy 72-54 win over the Independence Bulldogs on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Mulvane's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Independence, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Mulvane and Independence will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wildcats will face off against rival Augusta at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Independence is set to square off against their familiar foe Labette County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
