The Lake-Lehman Knights and the Western Wayne Wildcats squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Lake-Lehman Knights had to settle for second. Lake-Lehman fell to Western Wayne 21-16. Lake-Lehman has not had much luck with Western Wayne recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Western Wayne got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex Lucke out in front who rushed for 83 yards, and also picked up 47 receiving yards. Carter Mistishin was in the mix too, providing Western Wayne with two touchdowns.
Lake-Lehman has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Western Wayne, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Lake-Lehman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Western Wayne will head out on the road to face off against Scranton Prep at 1:00 p.m. on November 11th. Scranton Prep is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
