The Sylva Bay Academy Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 26 points or more this season. They breezed by Prentiss Christian on the road to the tune of 52-19. The win was just what Sylva Bay Academy needed coming off of a 56-21 defeat in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Lily Hatcher, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Sydney Poole was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
Sylva Bay Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Prentiss Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sylva Bay Academy will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Stringer at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Prentiss Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Laurel Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
