Regina had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Utica Chieftains by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. For Regina, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win Utica walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Regina never let Utica on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17.

Utica's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4-1.

Regina wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against L'Anse Creuse North on the 21st. As for Utica, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Anchor Bay on the 21st.
