St. Anthony might have drawn first blood against Palm Springs on Friday, but it was Palm Springs who got the last laugh. It was close but no cigar for St. Anthony as they fell 26-28 to Palm Springs.
Junior Jason Roberts, who picked up 174 yards on the ground, was a major factor in the success. Palm Springs also got a significant boost from senior Kelton Johnson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 127 yards.
St. Anthony are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3. The win bumped Palm Springs's record up to 1-2.
Next week, St. Anthony take on Woodrow Wilson at 7:00 PM. As for Palm Springs, they will face off against Tustin.
