The Sto-Rox Vikings took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They managed a 49-43 victory over Carlynton. This was payback for Sto-Rox, who suffered a 50-43 loss the last time these two teams met.
Carlynton's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaydin Mcknight, who scored 11 points along with 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Justin Williams, who scored 6 points.
Sto-Rox's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Carlynton, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sto-Rox will take on Nazareth Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carlynton, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Burgettstown at 8:00 p.m.
