Old Orchard Beach took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Waynflete, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Seagulls skirted past the Flyers 10-9. That's two games straight that the Seagulls have won by just one run.

Evan Moody was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Salamacha, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

Old Orchard Beach has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Waynflete, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Old Orchard Beach will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Traip at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Waynflete, they will challenge St. Dominic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
