This season hasn't been kind to the Independence 76ers, who are still winless after their 12th game. They fell 62-53 to Centennial on Wednesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Independence in their matchups with Centennial: they've now lost three in a row.
Several 76ers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amari Williams, who scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Montael Davis, who scored ten points along with five assists and two steals.
Independence's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-12. As for Centennial, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.
Independence and Marion-Franklin will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Marion-Franklin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Wednesday. As for Centennial, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Beechcroft at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th.
