Jaquan Griffin Delivers Best Performance of Season
Middlesex was led to victory by Jaquan Griffin, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Griffin rushed for 358 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 18.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards.
Charles City had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Griffin it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Griffin saw the Panthers), he picked up 37 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown.

Shane Jones' Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Charles City came up short on Friday despite Shane Jones delivering his best game to date. Jones rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 100 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 67 yards.
Charles City is on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. Jones and Charles City are taking a road trip to take on King & Queen Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Chris Delaney posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns.
