North Valley took a 20-run defeat the last time they faced off against Mazama, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights won by a run and slipped past the Vikings 5-4. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 20-0 victory the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

North Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Mazama, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Coming up, North Valley will face off against Lakeview at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Knights' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Mazama, they have already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Modoc on the 19th.
