The Caston Comets's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Frontier Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on December 21st. Caston's defense has only allowed 26.3 points per game this season, so Frontier's offense will have their work cut out for Frontier.
Even though Caston has not done well against Knox recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Caston strolled past Knox with points to spare, taking the game 40-22. Given Caston's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Knox is ranked 251st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Caston's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Zimpleman, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Zimpleman's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madisyn Douglass, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Frontier's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 51-34 fall against West Central.
Caston's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-0. As for Frontier, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
Everything came up roses for Caston against Frontier in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 63-34 win. With Caston ahead 42-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
