The Roosevelt Roughriders will head out on the road to challenge West Seattle at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Roosevelt will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Even though Seattle Prep scored an imposing 67 points on Thursday, Roosevelt still came out on top. Roosevelt secured a 72-67 W over Seattle Prep. Given Roosevelt's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Seattle Prep is ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jalen Dollar, who scored 20 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games he's played. Anthony Washington was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, even though Nathan Hale scored an imposing 58 points on Thursday, West Seattle still came out on top. West Seattle walked away with a 65-58 victory over Nathan Hale. The win was just what West Seattle needed coming off of a 74-48 loss in their prior matchup.
Roosevelt has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. As for West Seattle, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10.
Roosevelt lost to West Seattle on the road by a decisive 71-53 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Roosevelt avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
