Castle lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jordan Scott, who posted 16 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Izabell Grantz, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Even though they lost, Castle smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Leading Breckinridge County to victory were Kayleigh Huffines and Elizabeth Grimes. Huffines dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards, while Grimes scored 19 points. Those 14 rebounds gave Huffines a new career-high.
Castle's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. As for Breckinridge County, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
