Sheldon won the last time they faced Purdy and Wynsdae Connelly did her part to make sure it happened again. The Panthers came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 42-31 on Monday for which the team can thank Connelly, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards. She has become a key player for Sheldon: the team is 2-1 when she posts at least eight rebounds, but 2-3 otherwise.
Tori Staudt was another key player, putting up eight points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.
The victory got Sheldon back to even at 4-4.
Sheldon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 38-32 defeat against Weaubleau on the 16th. As for Purdy, they will be home for the holidays to greet Verona at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
