Escambia (Pensacola, Fla.) saw its 11-point lead dwindle to 10, but still managed to hang on and beat 
Mosley (Lynn Haven, Fla.) 49-39 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by 
Jabir Frye in the first quarter, the Gators were up 28-19 at the half.
Escambia expanded its lead to 10 points entering the fourth quarter. EHS's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by 
Jake Durant.
In a non-conference game next week Mosley (0-2) takes on Chiles, and Escambia (2-0) will go up against Rutherford also in a non-conference game.
