The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lakeland Christian, who took down 200th ranked Lakeland Christian, 33-29. Kaleel Gaines threw for 28 yards and ran for 133 yards in the win.
Frostproof moved up to 215 from 256 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A District 6. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Vikings 33-29.
Lakeland Christian's dynamic duo of Christian Alexander and Jordan White proved tough for Frostproof to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Alexander threw for 163 yards and two touchdowns and White had 113 yards receiving. Phil Wilsman helped Lakeland Christian's passing attack out by catching three balls for 32 yards.
Lakeland Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Vikings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Alexander has thrown for 1826 yards and 23 touchdowns this season, while White has 42 catches for 710 yards. Rafeal Pressley leads the league in rushing with 799 yards.
Going into this week's game against Santa Fe Catholic, Wayne Peace's team's Alexander needs 174 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
Price Harris' team extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Vikings, 33-29. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Bulldogs.
