The Kentridge Chargers lost against the Tahoma Bears back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Kentridge fell 47-40 to Tahoma. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kentridge in their matchups with Tahoma: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Chargers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sydney Esperanza, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jayla Keowla, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Kentridge has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Tahoma, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2.
Kentridge will square off against Kentwood at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Kentwood is ranked 97th, while Kentridge is ranked 86th). As for Tahoma, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Mt. Rainier at 7:00 p.m.
