The Kenwood Bluebirds entered their tilt with the Woodlawn Warriors with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Kenwood strolled past the Warriors with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 63-48. With that win, Kenwood brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
Kenwood's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Arionna Hicks, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Diamond Watters, who dropped a triple-double on ten points, 15 rebounds, and 11 blocks.
Despite the loss, Woodlawn had strong showings from Jordan Harding, who scored 14 points along with two blocks, and Madison Marshall, who scored nine points along with eight blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Serenity Best, who scored five points along with two steals.
Kenwood has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Woodlawn, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenwood will take on the Bulls at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hereford will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. As for Woodlawn, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Randallstown comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
