Fremont was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Ovid-Elsie Marauders. The result was nothing new for the Packers, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Fremont and bumps their season record up to 8-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Ovid-Elsie, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11-1 record this season.

Fremont has already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Holland Christian on the 5th. As for Ovid-Elsie, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-6 loss against Vestaburg on the 7th.
