Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Granville). They were the clear victor by a 46-25 margin over the Northern Durham Knights on Friday. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 40-24 loss the last time these two teams met.

Among those leading the charge was Alayah Flowers, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Lauryn Davis, who earned eight points.

South Granville now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Northern Durham, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

South Granville and Hillside will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northern Durham, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Person at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
