Jackson North Side was dealt a 66-12 loss at the hands of Jackson South Side. Jackson North Side was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-5.
Even though they lost, Jackson North Side smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. This was only their 17th loss (out of 17 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Jackson South Side has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Jackson North Side, they dropped their record down to 0-22 with that loss, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's matchup: Jackson South Side have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 38.9% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Jackson North Side, though, as they've only made 20.6% of their threes this season. Given Jackson South Side's sizable advantage in that area, Jackson North Side will need to find a way to close that gap.
