Glendale Prep Academy won the last time they faced Tempe Prep and things went their way  on Saturday too. The Griffins' pitcher stepped up to hand the Knights  a   23-0 shutout. Considering the Griffins have won seven contests by more than five  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Raegan Rockey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  triple. That  triple was  her first of the season.
 In other batting news, Glendale Prep Academy got a  massive  performance out of  Sophia Nakachi, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs. Those  five  RBI gave  Nakachi a new career-high.  Lydia Perlin also deserves some recognition as  she  launched her first  home run of the season.
 Glendale Prep Academy  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 5.5  hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.
The  win was  the fourth in a row for Glendale Prep Academy, bringing their record up to 7-4. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Tempe Prep, their defeat was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 1-9.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glendale Prep Academy will welcome St. John Paul II Catholic  at 3:45  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Tempe Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Red Rock  at 3:45  p.m.  on Wednesday.
