Santa Fe South has won four straight games at home, while Destiny Christian has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Saints will host the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Santa Fe South is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Southeast 16-6 on Tuesday. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Steve Morales was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Santa Fe South let Albert Gallegos and Drew Cabrera run wild. Gallegos scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Cabrera scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Gallegos a new career-high. Diego Rodriguez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Santa Fe South hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southeast struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Destiny Christian made sure to put some runs up on the board against Wellston on Tuesday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 14-4 win. With that victory, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Zach Wooten made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out 13 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Wooten was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-5. He is becoming a predictor of Destiny Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-10 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Racyn Hyden, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. He has become a key player for Destiny Christian: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 8-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jase Blackwell, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
The win got Destiny Christian back to even at 10-10. As for Santa Fe South, their victory bumped their record up to 10-15.
