Plainville had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 8-9 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Middletown Blue Dragons by a score of 11-8. The game was the first time the Blue Devils have beaten the Blue Dragons on their field since May 8, 2019.

As for Middletown, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18. Blue Dragons fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Plainville since on Monday.

For Middletown's part, Savino Civitillo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Frankie Randazzese was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Looking ahead, Plainville will welcome Platt at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Middletown, they will head out on the road to face off against Newington at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Nor'easters have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
