The Salisbury Elk Lick Elks are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Hancock Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on December 21st. Salisbury Elk Lick will be strutting in after a victory while Hancock will be coming in after a loss.
On Tuesday, Salisbury Elk Lick was fully in charge, breezing past Hyndman Charter School 67-19 on the road. The victory was just what Salisbury Elk Lick needed coming off of a 52-30 loss in their prior game.
Drake Sellers and Lance Jones were among the main playmakers for Salisbury Elk Lick as the former scored 16 points along with five assists and the latter scored 21 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The game was Jones' seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Rugg, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Hancock was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 60-54 to Bishop Walsh.
Salisbury Elk Lick now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Hancock, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Everything came up roses for Salisbury Elk Lick against Hancock in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 71-41 victory. With Salisbury Elk Lick ahead 49-12 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
