Orion Martinez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 215 yards and one score on only 11 carries. Meanwhile, Swink fell victim to Springfield and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Longhorns. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Longhorns: they've now lost three in a row.
Las Animas pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points over those games. As for Swink, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
