Shippensburg is 8-1 against Greencastle-Antrim since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Shippensburg Greyhounds will head out on the road to face off against the Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils at 6:25 p.m. Shippensburg will be strutting in after a victory while Greencastle-Antrim will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Shippensburg never let their opponents score. They blew past Waynesboro 27-0 at home. Shippensburg pushed the score to 21-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Waynesboro had little chance of recovering from.
Shippensburg relied on the efforts of Patrick Eichelberger, who rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns, and Janye statum, who rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Greencastle-Antrim came up short against Mechanicsburg on Friday and fell 34-22.
The losing side was boosted by Xavier Douge, who rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown.
Shippensburg's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Greencastle-Antrim, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Shippensburg ended up a good deal behind Greencastle-Antrim when the teams last played back in October of 2022, losing 42-26. Can Shippensburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
