Landon Johnston put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 20 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, Alta Vista Charter scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They put the hurt on Mission Heights Prep with a sharp 67-47 victory. The win was some much needed relief for Alta Vista Charter as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Heritage Academy Gateway's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Alta Vista Charter, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Heritage Academy Gateway took their victory against the Lobos in their previous matchup back in December of 2021 by a conclusive 60-36. Does Heritage Academy Gateway have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lobos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
