Sacramento Country Day has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 21 points or more this season. They breezed by Coral Academy of Science - Reno on the road to the tune of 52-12. The win was all the more spectacular given Sacramento Country Day's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 518th in California, while Coral Academy of Science - Reno is ranked 86th in Nevada).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sacramento Country Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nolan Montoya, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Derek Taylor, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Pine Hills Adventist, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 39-25 loss to Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning on Tuesday. Pine Hills Adventist has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Their wins bumped Sacramento Country Day to 6-2 and Coral Academy of Science - Reno to 1-3.
