NorthPoint Christian Academy is 9-0-1 against Lee Park Prep since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The NightHawks will venture away from home to face off against the Knights at 4:30 p.m. NorthPoint Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
NorthPoint Christian Academy lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Westminster Catawba Christian, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The NightHawks were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Indians on Monday. The NightHawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.
Tyler Wagner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has become a key player for NorthPoint Christian Academy: the team is 6-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise. Wagner was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple.

In other batting news, NorthPoint Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Micah Enriquez, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. The NightHawks are undefeated when Enriquez posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Andrew Badolato, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
NorthPoint Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Lee Park Prep came up short against Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy on Monday, falling 13-4. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lee Park Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Arant, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
NorthPoint Christian Academy's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Lee Park Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. NorthPoint Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lee Park Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
NorthPoint Christian Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Lee Park Prep in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the NightHawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
