The Latta Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 89-38 loss at the hands of Mullins. Latta has not had much luck with Mullins recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Mcrae, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
Mullins got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dakarai Worley out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Worley has scored all season. JJ Davis was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five steals.
Latta's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Mullins, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Latta will take on Lake View at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake View is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Mullins won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Conway at 7:15 p.m. on January 4th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Conway is ranked 83rd, while Mullins is ranked 86th).
