The Bel Air Highlanders lost against the Hanks Knights back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Bel Air took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hanks. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bel Air in their matchups with Hanks: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Bel Air lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anthony Favela. Despite the final result, he scored ten points along with two steals. Korryn Barnes was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
Bel Air's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Hanks, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-13.
Bel Air will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ysleta at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Ysleta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday. As for Hanks, they will head out on the road to challenge Horizon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Horizon is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
