The Browne Bruins's six-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They blew past Rio Rico, posting a 68-33 victory on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Browne also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2015.
Adam Chaffin was his usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds and seven blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesus Solorio-Vasquez, who scored six points along with four steals.
Browne's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Rio Rico, they bumped their record down to 2-10 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Browne won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Alhambra at 1:30 p.m. on December 30th. Alhambra is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Rio Rico, they will head out on the road to face off against Walden Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Walden Grove's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
