North Broward Prep put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 62-26 victory over American Heritage. Given North Broward Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while American Heritage is ranked 358th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North Broward Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Raul Perez ruiz, who scored 24 points along with three steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Perez ruiz has scored at least a third of North Broward Prep's points. Pavle Djeric was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Chaminade-Madonna scored an imposing 72 points on Tuesday, NSU University still came out on top. NSU University strolled past Chaminade-Madonna with points to spare, taking the game 88-72.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Anthony Ferrer and Isaac Mothersill. Ferrer had a great game and scored 22 points. Meanwhile, Mothersill was balling out in the loss, scoring 33 points.
North Broward Prep has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for NSU University, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. North Broward Prep hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 62 points per game. However, it's not like NSU University struggles in that department as they've been averaging 75.4 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
